Kona Coffee Harvesting

Raw, ripe coffee beans are the size, shape and color of a cranberry-bet you didn't know that! They have to be processed within a few hours of being picked, or the brew will be sour.

We are totally dedicated to producing ace coffee, so every bean is hand picked at its' maximum ripeness. This means that we have to be in Hawaii harvesting continually from October to January-what a burden! Can't begin to tell you how much we miss the winter weather on the mainland, not to mention flu season and Christmas crush. And to be forced to be on the islands during Big Surf season-the sacrifices we make!
